It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Bogovich who went to heaven surrounded by his family. After a very rough year, he is now at peace. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Katherine Bogovich. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jacqueline Byers Bogovich; daughter, Michelle (Matthew) Borgner; son, Michael Bogovich and his fiancée, Patricia Locker; proud “Papa” to Taylor, Morgan, Lucas and Tatum Bogovich and Blake Borgner; sister, Sally (John) Davidson; brother-in-law, Mike Byers and his fiancée, Debbie Fisher and many nieces and nephews. Tony was a 1959 graduate of Timken High School and Kent State University with a degree in Journalism. He worked for the Hoover Co., Danner Press and the Sequa Corp. as a human resource director. Tony was a devout Catholic who cherished the Lord, his family and his friends. He was an avid golfer, runner and a reluctant canasta player for Jackie. Calling hours will be Friday (TONIGHT) from 6-7:30 pm in the Schneeberger Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church by Father Benson Okpara Saturday (Tomorrow) February 6, 2021 at 10 am. Private entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family would also like to thank all of the caring staff at Crossroads Hospice.
