Ashley Marie Moore
August 29, 1997 – August 21, 2026
Ashley Marie Moore, 28, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, just days before her 29th birthday.
Born on August 29, 1997, in Barberton, Ohio, Ashley packed an incredible amount of personality into her 28 years. She was one of those people who was entirely and unapologetically herself. She was spicy, strong-willed, compassionate, fiercely devoted to the people she loved, and blessed with a beautiful soul that will be missed beyond words.
Above everything else, Ashley was about family.
Her family and friends were the center of her world, and while Ashley may not have always been the first person lining up to give you a hug, there was never any question about how deeply she cared. Ashley had her own way of showing affection. She loved through loyalty, compassion, laughter, honesty, and simply being there when the people she cared about needed her. If you were lucky enough to be one of Ashley’s people, you knew exactly where you stood in her heart.
And then there was the spice.
Ashley had opinions. She had personality. She had a way about her that was uniquely hers, and she certainly wasn’t afraid to let any of it be known. That fire was part of what made Ashley, Ashley. She could make you laugh, probably make you shake your head from time to time, and leave absolutely no doubt that she had been in the room. Life with Ashley was rarely boring, and those who loved her wouldn’t have wanted her any other way.
Of all the people Ashley loved, three held an especially enormous place in her heart: her beautiful daughters, Sophia, Ivy, and Veada. Being their mother was one of the greatest and most important parts of Ashley’s life. Her love for her girls was immeasurable, and although her time with them was far too short, pieces of their mother will forever live on through each of them.
Ashley found happiness in the things that were distinctly her own. She loved her music, had a special fondness for Yoda, and adored her puppy and faithful companion, Axel. Those seemingly little things become some of the biggest memories when someone we love is gone: a favorite song, an inside joke, something that immediately makes you think, “Ashley would have loved that.”
Ashley leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Stephanie Alexander; her father, Johnnie Drennen; her sisters, Morgan, Abbigail, and Selena; her brother, Jodi Jr.; and, most especially, her beloved daughters, Sophia, Ivy, and Veada. She is also survived by her grandmother, Pam; her aunt Melanie; her faithful four-legged companion, Axel; and many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives were made better simply by knowing her.
Ashley was preceded in death by her beloved niece, Fate, and her aunt, Brandy, both of whom held special places in her heart.
Twenty-eight years was nowhere near enough.
There are some people whose absence simply cannot be adequately explained with words because their personality occupied a space all its own. Ashley was one of those people. Her family will miss her voice. They will miss her music. They will miss her compassion and loyalty. They will miss her attitude, her humor, and that unmistakable fire.
They will miss the spice.
They may even find themselves wishing for one of those hugs she wasn’t particularly known for giving.
Most of all, they will simply miss Ashley.
Ashley was authentic. She was loving. She was stubborn. She was compassionate, funny, spirited, and completely her own person. She never needed to be anything other than herself to leave a lasting mark on the people around her.
And what a mark she left.
Ashley Marie Moore was loved tremendously during her far-too-short time in this world, and she will be remembered just as fiercely.
