Barry C. Willms

February 22, 1956 – September 26, 2026

Barry C. Willms, 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Born February 22, 1956, Barry was the son of the late Karl and Joan Willms. A 1974 graduate of Lincoln High School, Barry spent much of his working life near the water. He served for many years as a manager at Salt Fork Marina and later retired from Atwood Lake Marina.

Barry also dedicated his time to helping others as a first responder and as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Liberty Community Volunteer Fire Department. His willingness to step forward when someone needed help was just one reflection of the generous heart for which he will be remembered.

When he wasn’t working or helping others, Barry enjoyed the things that made life good… boating, shooting, vacations in Florida, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving son, brother and uncle, and someone whose warmth and generosity left an impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Joan Willms, and his brother, Jeffrey Willms.

He is survived by his sister, Jody Briggs (Tim); nephew, Mitchell Briggs (Marie); niece, Marissa Crank (Jon); great-nieces, Brooklyn, Brenna and Madison; and great-nephew, Jack.

To Barry’s many friends… his family offers their heartfelt thanks for sharing this life with him. Thank you for the friendships, the laughter, the adventures and the countless memories that helped make Barry’s life so meaningful.

A private family inurnment will take place the following day, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Forest Hill Cemetery.
