Donna Martin

It is with love in our hearts that we commemorate the life of Donna Jean Martin, affectionately known as "Mam" or "Mamal" to many. Born on February 12, 1948, in Canton, OH, Donna was a beacon of compassion, generosity, love, and thoughtful consideration throughout her 76 years on earth. Her magnetic spirit and unyielding faith leave an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.

Donna was a devoted nurse who dedicated her life to the service of others - a testament to her generous and loving nature. Her career in the medical field, however, was only one facet of her compassionate persona. Donna, being a devout Christian, spent the last 16 years of her life praising the Lord at the Total Living Center (TLC), where she not only volunteered but also touched and positively affected many lives. Her commitment to her faith is beautifully echoed in the Bible verse, "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9).

Donna's love for her family was unparalleled. She cherished every moment spent with her daughter Lori, her grandchildren Kenneth and Meghan, her great-grandchildren Giani, Issiyah, Kason, McKennha, and Kiyla, and her step-sister Sophie. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harold Girt and Cecilia Piecynski, and her treasured husband, Walter Martin. Donna's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved, and her memory will forever be etched in the moon, a symbol of her enduring love that reached there and back.
