Dorothy Jean Snauffer

Dorothy Jean Snauffer (Young), age 92, passed away on January 19, 2023. Dorothy was born on June 25, 1930 in Beaver Falls, PA and was preceded in death by husband Robert Snauffer; infant daughter, Sarah Ann; daughter, Janet Kostic; and son Jeffrey Snauffer; grandson, Brian Auble. Surviving children include Joseph (Beth) Anslover, James (Carol) Anslover, William (Denise) Anslover, Judy Auble, and Frank (Lorraine) Anslover. Bringing a special joy to Dorothy was numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. She had a determination and strong will to achieve a successful career in Real Estate as she was nearing her fifties. But most of all, Dorothy was a dedicated wife and mother with an amazing spirit that allowed her to overcome much adversity, heartache, and pain throughout her life. Music, song, and laughter were interwoven within her heart, which she expressed to the very end. Our dear, sweet mother unselfishly cared for others throughout her life, and has now found her true resting place in the care of our creator. We love and miss you Mom, you are finally whole again. Calling hours will be at Schneeberger Funeral Home in Canton, OH on Tues, Jan 24, 5pm to 7pm. A funeral service is planned at the same location on Wed., Jan 25 at 10 am followed by a procession/burial ceremony at Sunset Hills Burial Park in North Canton.
