Elise L. Koontz Obituary (1979

Elise Koontz passed away suddenly Dec 12, 2016. She was born Nov 3, 1979 to Mary Koontz and the late Walter "Bud" Koontz. Elise was always a girl with big dreams and an even bigger personality to go with it. A lifetime resident of North Canton and a lover of all animals, she was an employee of Old Carolina Barbecue Company where she poured much of her time and talents into all she did. In her youth she was active in baton and Roller Derby. She was a dedicated driven girl, and put herself through school. She will be sorely missed as she added joy, laughter and lots of love to all she met. She is survived by her mother, Mary Koontz of Canton, Ohio and her brother, Walter "Buddy" Koontz Jr. of Mobile, Ala.; sister, Kristen (John) Osbourne and niece and nephew as well as her "son" Nugent. She is preceded in death by her grandma, Donna Hennis; aunt, Jackie Londenburger; father, Walter "Bud" Koontz and recently her aunt, Carol Koontz. There will be a memorial service Dec. 22, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Community Christian Church, 210 North Main Street, North Canton, Ohio. Family and close friends may come one hour prior to pay respects. There will be a reception to follow. Services will be officiated by Rev. John Hayward. In lieu of flowers, Elise would have wanted donations made to Stark County Humane Society.
