Evelyn's devotion to the ivories was not only demonstrated through her practice and performances but also through her commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians as a beloved piano teacher in her home studio for many years.
In 1952, Evelyn married the love of her life, Frank Olmstead, and together they built a family grounded in love and shared values. She was the proud mother of four children: Eric, Valerie, Tana, and Forrest, the latter of whom predeceased her.
