Harter Jones

Harter Jones, 78, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 22, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 yrs. Shirley (Singo) Jones. Also survived by his son Tim (Holly) Jones, daughters Sharon (Lloyd) Clutter and Michelle Green, grandchildren Jared (Chrystina) Clutter, Britany Poling, Curt (Jessica) Poling III, Lewis Harter Jones, and David William Jones as well as several great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Colleen (Stewart) Kennedy and many, many loving and supportive nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents William and Sadie Jones, four brothers David (Rachel), Charles (Dorothy), Tommy (Helen), Lawson (Cheryl), and one sister Della (Junior).
Harter’s faith in and passion for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was unmistakable to everyone who knew him. His contagious laughter along with an infectious joy, that only God can give, brought delight to friends and loved ones and made fast friends out of complete strangers.
We would like to sincerely thank every family member and every friend and every compassionate staff member of every facility who lovingly offered their care, love, prayers and support!! A special thank you to the Arlington Avenue Church of God and Pastors Webb and Brenda Parsons for all their support during this time!!
Family and friends may call on Wednesday December 28 from 2 to 4 pm followed immediately at 4 pm by funeral services officiated by the Rev. W.L. Parsons at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family to offset expenses. Thank You and God Bless.
