Jo Ann Schwitzgable

JoAnn (Flynn) Schwitzgable
Passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2023. She was born in Canton, Ohio, on Christmas day 1932, where she lived her entire life.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas Schwitzgable, her parents, Clarence and Edna Flynn, brother Russel Flynn, and an infant son.

JoAnn is Survived by her son David (Suzanne) Schwitzgable, daughter Sharon (Mike) Coyle, grandchildren Greg (Katie) Schwitzgable and Sarah Schwitzgable, step-grandchildren J.B, Chad (Abbey) and Tory (Andie) Coyle, great-grandchildren Flynn and August Schwitzgable, step-great-grandchildren Ashleigh, Mia, Tyson and Brody Coyle.

JoAnn was a graduate of McKinley High School in 1950. She met with class members through 2022. Upon graduation, she worked for the Timken Company. She made several lifelong friends while there. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ for most of her life. JoAnn was a bookkeeper for Schwitzgable Plumbing and Heating and was a member of the Women's Auxillary for Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors. She was a volunteer at Aultman Hospital for many years and was also a member of the Women's Auxillary for the Plain Twp. Avondale Volunteer Fire Department, where her husband, Tom, was a member for 36 years.
JoAnn loved her family and, above all else, enjoyed time with her loved ones.

There will be a private family service at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to McKinley Presidental Library and Museum.
