John F. Egan Jr. Obituary (1938 - 2014)

John F. Egan Jr. age 75, of Canton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at Mercy Medical Center on November 16, 2014. A lifelong resident of Canton, John was born on December 21, 1938. John was a 1956 graduate of Timken High School. He retired in 1994 after 37 years of dedicated service at the Timken Company, and he and his wife, Patricia, enjoyed twenty years of retirement, traveling and enjoying life together. John is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra S. Egan; grandson, Mitchell F. Duplain; and parents, John F. Egan, Sr. and Mona (Dolph) Egan. John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years and best friend, Patricia; son, Randy (Sandy) Egan of Canton; son, John Scott Egan of Florida; daughter, Robin (John) Renicker of Dover; daughter, Mindy Duplain of North Royalton; sister, JuliaAnn King of Canton; sister, Donna Weiss of Canton; brother, Frank Egan of Canton; and sister, Janice Egan-Smith of Canton; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. John will be missed greatly and remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. Friends and family may call Thursday, November 20, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Schneeberger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, November 21, 2014, with calling hours one hour prior to the service. John’s body will be laid to rest at North Lawn Cemetery following the services.
