To all who were blessed to know him, Lane Halter Sr., my beloved father, was a beacon of ambition, strength, and love. Born on December 22, 1958, in Canton, Ohio, Lane's journey led him to become an inspiring figure in our lives, a man whose actions spoke louder than words. His selflessness and generosity were as vast as the Ohio skies under which he was born and raised. He was a man who found beauty in simplicity and strength in his work. Lane was a loving father to myself and my sister, Amanda. His love for us was immeasurable and his guidance, invaluable. His dedication to his work as a steel worker at Timken was a testament to his tenacity and resilience. Despite the hardships he encountered throughout his life, he remained generous and kind-hearted, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His legacy is not only etched in steel, but also in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his children, Lane Jr. and Amanda, his loving sister Laura (Paul) Keller, brothers Randy, James, and Alive, and his sister Tanna Walter. Lane was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gloria Halter, who instilled in him the values of hard work, love, and humility. Lane carried these values throughout his life, influencing all who knew him with his strong yet gentle spirit.
