Naoma Arretta Gillispie Obituary (1926

Naoma Arretta Gillispie age 89, of Canton, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 1, 2015. She was a long time teacher in the Jackson School System and was in the first group of teachers at the newly built Lake Cable Elementary School. A proud winner of the Martha Holden Jennings Education Award she devoted her last years to First Grade and Kindergarten Education. Active in Delta Chapter # 439 O.E.S. and White Shrine # 64 and Church of the Lakes. Preceded in death by husband, Paul C. Gillispie in 2006 and three brothers, Hershel, Treavy "Ted", and Donald. Survived by son, Duane P. Gillispie; daughter, Debbie (Dave) Bradford; grandchildren, Lauren, Jeff, and Aaron; great grandson, Sam; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Cottrill and Georgetta Decker, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held March 22, 2015 at 2 pm at Church of the Lakes United Methodist 5944 Fulton Dr, Canton, OH 44718. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Lakes.
