Paul E. Beard, Sr.

Paul E. Beard Sr., age 92, passed away on November 22,2025. Paul was born on July 4th, 1933, in Greensburg, Ohio. He was a man known for his unwavering will and unmistakable stubborn streak, Paul lived life on his own terms. Those who loved him knew that his determination – sometimes exasperating, sometimes admirable – was the same force that shaped his long, full and fiercely independent life.

Born with a strong work ethic and a drive to build something of his own, Paul spent most of his life self-employed. He took pride in working with his hands, making his own way, and never letting anyone tell him what couldn’t be done. His stubbornness, in truth, was just another word for grit.

Outside of work, Paul enjoyed hunting and gardening, underscoring his appreciation of nature. Whether he was patiently waiting in the woods at dawn or tending to the plants he coaxed from the soil, he was most at peace outdoors.

He was a proud member of the Army, American Legion, VFW, and North Canton Eagles.

Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 60+ years, Ruth Beard and his children Paul Jr, Cindy Clapper and Carl Larkins. MANY grandchildren and great grandchildren + 3 great-great grandchildren. Generations who will remember him for his strength, his humor, his independence and the deep love he had for his family, even if he showed it in his own way.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Schneeberger-Oser Funeral Home, located at 2222 Fulton Road Northwest, Canton, Ohio, 44709. Military Honors and burial will take place at 1:00 pm at Sunset Hills Burial Park, 5001 Everhard Road Northwest, Canton, Ohio, 44718.
