Shirley Ruth Sterling

Shirley R. Sterling,(Huber) 80 years old, was born in Valley Head, West Virginia on December 23, 1936. She passed away on February 4, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry (Donald) Sterling on July 9th, 1993. Also preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Garvin, and two sisters, Ramona Sterling and Glenola (Glennie)Clark. Survived by sons, Timothy (Nancy) Sterling and Brian (Connie) Sterling. One daughter, Crystal (Mike) Boyce. Nine grandchildren, Seven great grandchildren, one brother Roy Garvin and cousin Donna Traver. She was a lifetime member of Louisville Baptist Temple. She enjoyed her church, was in the choir and often a soloist, singing the praises of her Lord. She was a friend to many, the sweetest Mother, grandmother and aunt a person could have. By birth, by marriage, by friendships, she did not care, she hugged, she teased, she was much loved by many. But we are not to grieve for her, she is walking those streets of gold she sang so much about, her life was a testament to her Lord and Savior, she is now hand in hand with her husband and much loved sister Ramona.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 pm in the funeral home where friends may call from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Pastor Mike Harmon of Louisville Baptist Temple will officiate.
