Tina (Ottavia) Russell Obituary (1935 - 2023)

Tina (Ottavia) Russell Age 87 of North Canton passed away on March 18, 2023. She was born April 16, 1935 in Canton, Ohio to Ottavio and Maria (Biagi) Donatini. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1953. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Albert “Bud” Russell in 2005, brother Dino Donatini and sister Argie Barbato. She is survived by son Al Russell of Columbus, daughters Chrissy (John) Parkomaki and Teresa (Jim) Chaney of North Canton, and grandchildren Emma and Jacob Parkomaki of North Canton. She is also survived by her brother Armando (Rosemary) Vito of North Canton and many nieces and nephews. First, and foremost, she was a wonderful mother. When her children were young she was a frequent volunteer at school, was a den mother for Cub Scouts and a leader for her daughter’s Camp Fire Girl troops. She enjoyed gardening, needlework and was an avid reader. She was an active member of the Stark County Medical Auxiliary serving one term as president. She also managed her husband’s medical office. Most recently she was a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center. In accordance with her wishes there will be no service or visitation. The family would like to thank Bethany Nursing Home for their care and love over the last year.
